Geological and geochemical investigation study and assessment of reserves according to rock quality at an industrial sand quarry and its extension, on behalf of SOTACIB-Fériana.

As part of the geological and geotechnical investigations at a sand quarry in the Ad Dakhla area, in the delegation of Fériana, governorate of Kasserine, SOTACIB Fériana commissioned us to carry out a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the sand reserves and an investigation campaign comprising five cored boreholes.

• Chemical analyses were also carried out on some of the core samples collected.
• This geological investigation, accompanied by a technical assessment of the above-mentioned sand quarry, enables the developer to assess the quarry’s value in terms of reserves and quality.
• Analysis of the data provided by the geological study, the cored boreholes and the correlations established at the study site helped us identify suitable extraction areas for the developer.

Technical study on the landscaping, rehabilitation and restoration of depleted areas in the limestone quarry at Djebel Fériana, delegation of Fériana- Governorate of Kasserine, on behalf of « SOTACIB Fériana »

Our consultancy « BUT Géologie » carried out a technical study on the landscaping, rehabilitation and restoration of depleted areas A, B and C in the industrial limestone quarry at Djebel Fériana, delegation of Fériana- governorate of Kasserine, on behalf of the Tunisian-Algerian White Cement Company « SOTACIB-Fériana ».

This technical study focuses on examining the current condition of the quarry, including the three areas A, B and C where extraction has been completed, with a detailed representation of its condition, recommendations and landscaping and rehabilitation works to be followed and carried out by the developer, as well as a rehabilitation schedule covering a period of 10 years.

Consequently, once the proposed period for implementing the redevelopment measures has elapsed, the three zones where reserves have been exhausted will be fully integrated in accordance with the standards and will exhibit specific ecological and safety characteristics.
