SOTACIB Kairouan commissioned our consultancy « BUT Géologie » to carry out various types of environmentally focused projects related to the plant’s activities, as well as purely technical projects related to extraction operations at the industrial clay quarry owned by the SOTACIB-K cement works.

Our assignment with SOTACIB-Kairouan consists of carrying out the following studies:

  • Conducting a geotechnical and geochemical investigation study, establishing lithological correlations, producing isovalue maps and interpreting the results, assessing reserves in terms of quality and gaining an understanding of their spatial distribution to guide extraction methods.
  • Audit of the Kairouan plant and analysis of its environmental situation.
  • Preparation of silica and lime isograde maps following geochemical correlations, and lithological zoning maps delineating areas of siliceous clay, marly clay, marl and marly limestone within the study site.
