The company « Marbrerie BENNOUR » commissioned our consultancy « BUT Géologie » to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment « E.I.E » for the project to reopen and operate an industrial dimension-stone quarry located at Djebal Krissa, Imadet Fej Terbah, Delegation of Jedelienne, Governorate of Kasserine.

We collaborated with the company Marbrerie BENNOUR to carry out the following studies:

  • Describe the existing baseline condition of the proposed quarry and its surroundings, and the natural features and resources likely to be affected by the implementation of the project.
  • Describe the project and present the quarry extraction method and operations, proposing extraction and rehabilitation plans that comply with environmental standards, together with a calculation of recoverable reserves.
  • Analyse the foreseeable direct and indirect effects of the project on the environment.
  • List the measures envisaged to eliminate, reduce and offset harmful consequences for the environment.
  • Draw up an Environmental Management Plan « P.G.E».
