Les ciments artificiels Tunisiens – 1
Project description

The company ''Les ciments artificiels Tunisiens'' commissioned our consultancy « BUT Géologie » to carry out various types of projects relating to industrial limestone quarries on the one hand and the opening of a crushing and screening unit on the other.

Client: Les ciments artificiels Tunisiens

Year: 2021

Duration: 3 months

Main service: Environmental impact assessment, hazard study…

Associated service: Quarry development study

Our assignment with Les ciments artificiels Tunisiens consists of carrying out the following studies:

  • The environmental impact assessment for the crushing and screening unit addresses the foreseeable direct and indirect effects of the proposed opening on the environment and proposes appropriate measures to eliminate, reduce and offset adverse environmental consequences in order to establish an Environmental Management Plan « P.G.E ».
  • The hazard study first identifies and analyses the risks associated with the facilities and/or their mode of operation. It then lists appropriate measures to control these risks. Finally, it proposes scenarios and response methods for managing accidents.
  • Preparation of technical studies on the operation of the company-owned quarries. These studies first describe in detail the various projects relating to quarry operations. They then present extraction methods, proposing master plans for extraction, development and rehabilitation that comply with environmental standards, together with Digital Terrain Models « M.N.T » illustrating and describing the different stages of extraction, development and rehabilitation.
